I would like to try and eat fast food less. I estimate that I eat at a fast food place about three times a week. I think that eating this bad food less would help me feel healthier and have overall better health. I think eating out once a week would be a reasonable goal. My schedule is the main reason that I eat fast food, but some obvious alternatives would be packing a lunch or waiting until I get home to eat.
So I would like to reduce my fast food visits to once a week.

What do you consider fast food? I eliminated any fast food from my diet as well, but only the really bad ones...mc donalds, taco bell, burger king etc. But i still find myself going to chick fil a and chipotle. In my mind i do consider them fast food joints but maybe its the atmosphere that feels less...fast food-ish. But its hard to wake up and prepare a meal for a lot of people so don't worry. To improve this, i also suggest straying away from those who will tempt you to eat fast food. By the way, you sure don't look like you eat fast food three times a week.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a problem that we all face. I suggest maybe setting aside a specific amount of money each week that you want to spend on fast food. That way you will only eat the one's that you really want and hopefully eliminate the one's that you eat just for convenience. Also it might help you save some of the money that you spend on fast food.
ReplyDeleteHi Steven!
ReplyDeleteI really like your target behavior, I figure being in college now it is always a lot easier to get fast food, like the Carl's Jr on campus and all those other places just down the street. I try to control myself by bringing lunch from home, such as leftovers from last night's dinner, etc. That way, I always eat the food since I feel like I'm wasting my family's money and resources by not eating it. I guess a guilt trip works for me. That's how I control my "fast food" urgings, or sometimes I would just pop in Supersize Me or something, to just "shock" myself. (:
Good luck!
You're plan is simple yet effective. For a person that eats fast food a lot, you don't look it. Even though it's so easy to choose fast food over healthy food, try to bring you're own food so that you wont be tempted to run over to in n out for a double double....mmm yummy. Plus, think how much money you spend on food just within a week. That should be enough motivation to stop going to fast food places. Good luck! now i want some in n out....
ReplyDeleteHey, I am trying to change the same habit. But my problem is that I do not have the time to get a good meal so that's why I eat either fast food or chips or something quick that just satisfy my hunger for a while. It is hard to change it after you become so used to do it. But I believe that is just determination what we need to end with this bad habit.
ReplyDeleteI will be cheking on you to see how is your progress going.
