Week five - progress
During the past week I have only eaten fast good three times! That may still seem like a lot but it is a major improvement for me. Each time that I ate out I didn't allow myself to play xbox. I feel like the punishment isn't as effective as the idea of it. I am more Inclined to not eat out because I want to have the ability to play rather than be upset that I ate out and now cannot. Overall I feel like punishment has mainly made me think before I eat out. Circumstances this week may have also limited my fast food consumption so I guess I will just have to see how next week goes.

Hey Steven! It's really good that you are slowly but surely reducing your fast food intake! Even if it is only a little, each day helps. Try and find home made substitutes for fast food, and incorporate them in your daily routine. Try keeping snacks with you at school so you are less likely to indulge in spur-of-the-moment fast food spending. Try bringing lunch with you to school. I promise it will be healthier! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey Steven! Its good that you have been improving! Good job on that! One thing that can probably help is if you give yourself a reward if you dont eat out. Maybe another hour on your xbox or a movie! Rewards help too especially if they are out of the ordinary. They might motivate you to fully change your behavior because they are "special" :) Good luck next week!
ReplyDeleteHey Steven!
ReplyDeleteI'm also working on this behavior and I've cut down on eating fast food often as well! Something that's helped me is bringing food from home. Just grab a sandwich or a few snacks on your way out so you keep yourself kind of satisfied till you get home when you can eat a full meal. Or, you can leave the extra money you use for buying fast food at home. This way, you won't really have the money to buy food and you'll also be saving money. It's great that you're improving your behavior though. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI think it's superb to do something to change your eating habits. Fast food may be convenient for most people, but as Kirat and Danya have said, bringing your own snacks to school, or just treating yourself to a full before going somewhere will make you not crave for the fatty foods in fast food chains. Not only would you become healthier, you will be able to save some money too. :)
Hey Steven,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the numbers of fast food you consume went down, it probably means that the punishments are still somewhat effective, right? Additional to that, perhaps by adding an immediate reinforcement by not eating fast food would make the change even more effective. That way you'll be highly motivated since you're receiving that reward the very next moment.
Hi, this is not where I ask you if you want to go get some lunch I guess. lol! I struggle as well. Saving money is a great motivator. Being healthy is wonderful; so many people I know are just not well. Flu, cancer, stress on and on. It scares me. You are young, take care of yourself now and then continue with it. You will appreciate all that you do now when you are older. See you Saturday? Prepare for the 3rd exam and see you in class.
